This very dog friendly Campsite is situated within the 12 acres of grounds of what was once a working cattle farm and is ideally located for either that short stop over or longer stay where you simply wish to relax and unwind. Camping near the Loire Valley is a great way to surround yourself in French life and culture with beautiful walks and cycle rides (bikes can be hired)*
Within the beautiful countryside, there are 16 large level-ground pitches (15m long), so ample size to take any size tent/caravan, even Twin Axles. All 16 pitches have 10-amp electric hook-up points, 2 hardstanding pitches and six fully serviced pitches offering immediate access to drinking/shower water & grey water waste disposal. No more carrying those heavy water butts! These pitches are booked on a first come, first served basis. For Campsite Map, click here
The spacious grounds in the countryside and off the main road gives children the freedom they crave and the peace and quiet the grown ups deserve.
The large plunge pool is free of charge to all our guests and is great to cool down on those very hot summer days (open May to October, weather dependant). You can sit and relax whilst the children are playing football, in the play area, or with the large garden versions of Jenga, Draughts and Chess along with some more traditional games and puzzles. The whole family could even enjoy a good game of boules on our petanque court.
Next to the camping field is the large pond stocked with plenty of Carp, which is ideal for fun and for children to practise their fishing skills, as they will be guaranteed a catch of up to 10lb! It is also a wonderful place to sit, relax and watch much of the abundant wildlife which is commonplace. Arrangements can be made for fishing permits to local lakes.
There is a large newly refurbished separated mens & ladies shower & toilet block with free hot water, toilet paper, hand soap and the use of soft laundered hand towels. There is also an undercover wash house for washing up your pots and pans, information leaflets, books to read and swap and a freezer where you can store your freezer packs and buy ice cream at cheap prices. A washer/dryer is also available in the main house *
BBQs can be used on your own pitch, providing care is taken not to scorch the grass. There is also the communal BBQ area, which you can use to cook your own food and where all enjoy the BBQ evenings we arrange.
We can also arrange horse riding lessons and pony trekking with a neighbouring Equestrian Centre **
